Shogun's Reign Customization Guide
Build an OC that reads clearly from Hub teleport to Province life.
Customization is how Shogun’s Reign turns a blank Roblox avatar into a Province resident. Before you chase housing or optimize Farmer loops, decide who you are playing: name and surname, head, scale, height, outfits, species, bio, tags, and weapons. A coherent OC gets better scenes, clearer Merchant stall presence, and more believable Attendant or Performer shifts.
This guide walks each customization pillar, explains how TikTok save-file codes differ from promo codes, and links identity choices to species and progression. Start from Getting Started if you still need Hub → Province orientation.
When to customize
Ideal moments:
- In the Hub before your first teleport, when you are alone and unrushed.
- After your first Ryō surplus, when you can afford outfit upgrades that match a chosen role.
- Whenever you change life focus—Farmer whites to Merchant layers, Attendant service wear to off-duty evening clothes.
Avoid rewriting your entire identity mid-scene. Finish the conversation, step aside, then adjust.
Name and surname
Pick a name/surname pair you can spell quickly in RP. Edo-inspired naming is welcome; historically perfect Japanese is not a gate. Consistency matters more than textbook accuracy. If you use a joke name, lean into it on purpose rather than breaking every serious bathhouse scene.
Add the name to your bio so silent players still know how to address you.
Head, scale, and height
Head style sets silhouette. Scale and height change how you read next to stalls, fields, and other OCs. Practical notes:
- Extreme scales can clip in interiors—test doorways and bathhouse areas.
- Height should match the story you tell (youthful apprentice vs elder Isha).
- Revisit scale after picking species flair so fantasy traits do not fight your body plan.
Outfits
Outfits are your loudest role signal:
- Farmer — durable work layers; see Farmer role.
- Merchant — tidy shopkeeper energy for stall trust; see Merchant role.
- Attendant / bathhouse — clean, modest service wear.
- Isha — physician-coded cues without claiming fake medical ranks.
- Performer — stage-readable colors that still respect Province tone.
- Retainer / warrior / noble — later progression fantasies; do not costume Shogun on minute one unless the server story supports it.
Keep at least one “work” and one “social” outfit once you can afford both.
Species
Species is a customization option. Ryūjin is confirmed; a complete official list is not fully documented publicly. Do not trust fan spreadsheets that invent a closed Pokédex. Instead:
- Browse whatever the live customizer shows.
- Pick a species you can roleplay for hours.
- Write one bio sentence that integrates ancestry without lecturing.
- Read the dedicated species guide for etiquette tips.
Bio, tags, and weapons
Bio should answer: who are you, what do you do, how should strangers approach? Two to four short lines beat a novel nobody reads.
Tags help discovery—farmer, merchant, attendant, isha, performer, housing-hunter, etc. Update tags when your main loop changes.
Weapons are part of identity even for non-warriors. A sheathed blade on a Merchant means something; explain it lightly or leave intriguing gaps. Open carry into bathhouse service spaces is usually poor etiquette unless a scene demands it.
Save-file codes versus promo codes
TikTok creators share save-file codes so others can load OC configurations. Those are not official gift codes for Ryō or houses. This wiki’s Codes hub tracks promo redemption status—and currently there are no verified promo codes. Never pay strangers for “rare species files” outside normal Roblox safety norms.
If you import a save-file OC:
- Re-read bio and tags for your own voice.
- Confirm species and outfits still exist after updates.
- Re-establish housing and role progress on your account; a file is not a full Province life.
Customization for each early goal
| Goal | Customization focus |
|---|---|
| Early Ryō | Comfortable Farmer fit, clear name |
| Stall sales | Merchant-readable outfit + friendly bio |
| Service RP | Attendant/Isha clarity, low-chaos weapons |
| Music badge | Performer silhouette for Instrument Master hunts |
| Claimed home | Cohesive “this person lives here” wardrobe |
| Long climb | Room to evolve toward retainer/warrior/noble |
Use the role checklist to mark when identity matches the job you actually play.
Common mistakes
- Spending every coin on fashion before seed Merchant stock or housing surplus.
- Mixing incompatible signals (Shogun title in name while begging for laundry tips).
- Copying a save-file look without learning service role etiquette.
- Inventing species lore that contradicts live options.
- Ignoring official channels (@shoguns.reign, group updates) when customizers change—see Updates.
Game Passes that extend customization
Free customization already covers the pillars above. Optional Robux passes help when you hit hard limits—see the full Game Passes list:
- Custom Name (50 R$) — when default naming fights your OC.
- Extra Hair Slots (250 R$) / Extra Accessory Slots (350 R$) — more stored looks for work versus evening wear.
- Custom Adjustments (350 R$) — finer appearance tuning once basic sliders feel cramped.
- Extra Save Slots (450 R$) — keep multiple OCs beyond the default three saves.
None of these are required to roleplay well. Buy only after you know which limit actually blocks you. Players hunting a personal sandbox province (not just outfits) should read Private Domain instead of treating that pass as a hair unlock.

Strong customization makes every other system cheaper: fewer awkward explanations, faster scenes, clearer stalls, kinder bathhouses. Build the OC you want to inhabit, then let Ryō and roles catch up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What can I customize in Shogun's Reign?
Core OC fields discussed by players include name/surname, head, scale, height, outfits, species, bio, tags, and weapons. Always confirm the live Hub/Province customizer for your version.
Are TikTok OC codes the same as promo codes?
No. Save-file codes share character configurations. Promo gift codes are separate—and none are verified on this wiki yet.
Which species should I pick?
Choose from options shown in-game. Ryūjin is confirmed; full lists are incomplete publicly. Roleplay fit beats chasing unverified rarity charts.
Should I customize before earning Ryō?
Do a Hub baseline so you are readable, then upgrade outfits after Farmer or Merchant income so fashion does not strand your economy.
Do weapons matter if I only farm or attend?
Weapons still signal story. Keep them consistent with bio and etiquette—especially near bathhouse and footwear rituals.
